My name is Eva Rumble. I am a very busy wife and stay-at-home mother of three beautiful and healthy children. Like most Americans, our lifestyle is becoming faster paced every year. We live in a grab-and-go society, and it’s difficult to think about making healthy choices when we are so busy.
My family used to struggle with staying on healthy paths. One week we would eat extremely healthy, the next week we were eating burgers and fries (mainly for convenience). So, about 4 years ago, I slowly started implementing changes to our diets to see how we would feel. The results have been wonderful! Just refocusing on what we eat every day has given us more energy, better focus, and more importantly, less visits to the doctor!
We all know that as a nation, we are not taking good care of ourselves. The obesity rate is crazy high. 68.8% of adults are overweight or obese. 31.8% of children and adolescents are overweight or obese. Diabetes, cancer, heart disease, strokes, and even mental disorders are on the rise. Daunting, huh? But, what can we do individually to decrease these numbers?
Well, first of all, we can start by changing our own diets and lifestyles. It’s amazing how when you change things for the better, people you know want to learn how to make changes too. Sharing your healthy ideas and plans can not only help others, but it can keep you on track as well. We can be the change that others need to see and believe in.
My goal for this blog is to share the healthy ideas, recipes, facts, and other information that I have learned over the past several years so that you won’t have to do as much research when making healthy decisions. We can all use time saving tips, right?
